OVERVIEW
I'm a third year student studying Business Technology Management at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa! I originally began my studies in Accounting, but made the switch over to Business Technology Management after I realized that I enjoyed working with technology and analyzing data more than creating journal entries.
I believe that both data and technology are crucial to the future. Data is a powerful tool that has the ability to tell stories and educate people. Without it, we wouldn't be here in the world that we live in today. I love working with data in order to understand and discover new information, and using this information to communicate knowledge to others. Along with data, I also believe that technology is the key to our future. Technology is constantly evolving and changing, and I find it fascinating how data has an impact on technology. My ideal role would be one where I am involved in data analytics and/or working with IT professionals, as I feel as though that would allow for me to explore those areas and learn more about them.
I have worked in both the private and public sector regarding the areas of finance and technology. I'm an individual who has experience working in teams in order to complete a project, or working for other teams to develop projects that would benefit their work activities as well. I am always open to learning new skills and to challenge myself to grow as a person in new, unfamiliar situations.
In my free time, I love to explore all sorts of things outside of school and work! Besides data and technology, my other passion is in music, more specifically playing piano. I also enjoy riding my bike, cooking, and playing trivia games! I have an interest in a little bit of everything, including movies, sports, and video games. I enjoy connecting with other people and learning about their interests!
